As part of Connect Plus Services’ (CPS) Adopt a School initiative, Earlsmead Primary School recently had an area of their playground transformed into an environment for the children to play and learn.
The three week project saw a disused and overgrown area of the playground restored with new pathways and planting areas.
The works were made possible through the enthusiasm and hard work of the operatives involved, as well as PJ Chaffins, who cleared back all the vegetation, dug the path and supplied the topcoat of the pathway, Reconomy who supplied the skips, and Selco who supplied the remaining materials at a discounted rate.
The project was managed by Rob Haddow, CPS Operations and Maintenance Manager for the North West Quadrant, who worked closely with the school to ensure the new environment would perfectly suit the children’s needs.
The transformation is a prime example of the positive working relationship CPS strives to create with local communities and the team looks forward to building on this into the future.
