A recent visit to Blunts Farm by the Considerate Constructor Scheme saw the depot awarded excellent and exceptional scoring from site monitor Eddie Challand.
Considerate constructors seek to improve the image of the construction industry by striving to promote and achieve best practice under the Code.
The Code of Considerate Practice outlines the Scheme’s expectations and describes those areas that are considered fundamental for registration with the Scheme.
The five areas against which sites are monitored are:
- Care about Appearance
- Respect the Community
- Protect the Environment
- Secure everyone’s Safety
- Value their Workforce
Visiting Blunts Farm on 24 November, Mr Challand said:
“Another exceptional performance from a recent Scheme silver award winner… Well done. Appearance is excellent… immaculate impression. Community has improved to exceptional with the additional interface with local schools and youth employment provisions. Environment is excellent… excellent recycling performance. Safety is always exceptional particularly the workforce inclusion/interaction and ongoing training regime. Workforce is exceptional particularly incentives, rewards schemes. Excellent well-being provision across the business. Always an informative visit.”
