CPS recognised as a considerate constructor
Our Leatherhead depot (M25, Junction 9) has just received an accolade from the Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) for “performance beyond compliance”.
In an independent audit, the CCS monitor said “The appearance of the depot is excellent. Respect for the community and protection for the environment is exceptional. There is an excellent approach to securing everyone’s safety and health. The work force is valued and the standard of care is excellent.”
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image.
This is the second visit to Leatherhead and saw the depot recognised for its commitment to exccellence in the categories of Appearance, Respect the Community, Protect the Environment, Secure everyone’s Safety and Value the Workforce.
Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
The Scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment.
