Ellie Grant, IT graduate trainee on our M25 contract, has this morning been announced as Balfour Beatty’s Emerging Talent Employee of the Year award winner.
Balfour Beatty’s Major Projects division launched its first People of the Year Awards earlier this year, inviting nominations from across its business in the categories of: Employee of the Year; Employee of the Year – Emerging Talent; Leader of the Year; and Team of the Year.
Nominees were judged against their commitment to Balfour Beatty’s Build to Last programme: Safe, Expert, Trusted, and Lean, and had to have made a significant contribution to their area of work.
Ellie was one of 18 nominations in the Emerging Talent category.
Ellie was presented with her award earlier today at Balfour Beatty’s offices in Canary Wharf. We caught up with her immediately after the ceremony.
She said: “I’m so happy to have won the award. For me, it confirms that my contribution to CPS and Balfour Beatty is being noticed and that I really am making a difference.”
Head of HR Christina Brown said: “We are really proud of Ellie. She thinks not just about her own role, but the contribution she makes to the wider business. It’s a fantastic achievement and well deserved.”
Well done Ellie, congratulations from everyone here!
