Our Blunts Farm depot in Essex has just received its most recent monitor’s report from the Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) and the feedback has been it was an “exceptional visit”

The monitor reviewed our performance against the Considerate Code of Practice and awarded Appearance as excellent. The standards of housekeeping, including inspections, tidiness and organisation were noted in particular.

We are very proud that the remaining four areas, Community, Environment, Safety and Workforce, were all deemed “exceptional” by the monitor. The monitor noted well-being provision as “industry leading”.

For depot manager Melissa, this was the first visit she has hosted for the CCS at Blunts Farm. She said:

“This visit was a pleasure to host – the team here has done so much that not only meets the requirements of the Scheme, but exceeds them.”

“One example is our relationship with Tanys Dell primary school, through our Adopt a School programme. We now retain our canteen waste to make compost, which the school uses for its vegetable patch, flower bed and wormery!”

The depot has been awarded a certificate “Beyond Compliance” and joins our Dartford, Denham and Leatherhead depots in our 2016 Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Melissa and the team!
