Dartford depot’s Keith joined double Olympic gold medallist James Cracknell and a team of cyclists and celebrities for The Great Sport Relief Bike Off on 18 March.
The challenge was for Cracknell to cycle the furthest distance ever ridden on a classic 1970s Chopper bicycle in one hour. At the same time, a team of cyclists and celebrities including Sally Gunnell, Alastair Campbell and our Keith attempted to break the Guinness World Record for most people to cycle a 1km time trial in 60 minutes.
The target to beat was 30 individual time trials. By working as a relay team, and riding alongside James, the record was beaten and the team set a new record of 43 individual 1Km time trials in one hour. That means Keith is officially a Guinness World Record holder.
Both challenges took place in front of a live audience at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London on Friday 18 March.
The current total (at time of writing) stands at a staggering £56,984,007! That money will change countless lives forever.
